Ivan Rakitic admits ‘even I’ll talk about Lionel Messi when I get home’ after his hat-trick during Barcelona’s 3-1 win against Leganes on Saturday.
“If everyone’s talking about Leo, it’s because he’s earned it,” the midfielder said after the game.
“Even I’ll talk about him when I get home! The match? It’s normal for us to drop off a bit because we came into the game very strongly.
“In that sense, it was very important to start the game well. We have to take the positives, we’ve picked up three more points and we played well for long parts.
“We have to draw strength from everything we do. It’s nothing new because we always want to compete There’s not even time to complain.
