Atletico Madrid Koke understands why his side are labelled as Europa League favourites but is refusing to take anything for granted.
The Spain international opened the scoring after just 22 seconds against Sporting CP in a 2-0 victory which puts them on course for a semi-final spot.
“It was a great game from us, but we need another great game in Lisbon to ensure we qualify,” Koke told BeIn Sports.
“Are we favourites for the competition? Of course it is normal that people see it like this, because we have a great record in Europe recent years.
“We played well tonight, it was important we kept a clean sheet in this game and we must be impressive all around the pitch.
“I am happy to score, to help the team and for Griezmann to get the second made it a strong result for us, and we could have had another.
“We are very happy with the outcome of this.”
