Barcelona will be without Thomas Vermaelen, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez for their visit of Athletic Bilbao in La Liga on Sunday.
Busquets is out with a broken toe and Suarez is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards, while Barca’s official website reports Vermaelen has bruised his ankle.
Nelson Semedo and Denis Suarez also remain on the treatment table, so there are places in the squad for defender Yerry Mina and B midfielder Carles Alena.
Athletic, meanwhile, are without left-back Mikel Balenziaga, who is given more time to recover, having suffered a recurrence of the problems which kept him out for almost three months.
Also absent from Los Leones’ party are Yeray Alvarez, who was cured of testicular cancer earlier in the season, and long-term casualty Iker Muniain.
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde coached Athletic for four years, before succeeding Luis Enrique last summer, and won 2-0 in his first reunion with the Basques back in October.
