Diego Costa has return to the Spain squad for the friendlies against Germany and Argentina, but Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata misses out.
Former Madrid striker Morata replaced Costa at Stamford Bridge last summer, with the latter’s strong form at Atletico Madrid earning him a recall to Julen Lopetegui’s squad.
There is better news for Chelsea though in wing-back Marcos Alonso’s inclusion in the squad, while central midfielder Dani Parejo (Valencia) and Rodri Hernandez (Villarreal) are also included.
Italian-based duo Suso (Milan) and Luis Alberto (Lazio) have both not been called-up following their roles in recent squad, while Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto is also not in the squad.
