Sergio Busquets reportedly suffered a toe injury against Chelsea, leaving him doubtful for Barcelona and Spain’s upcoming games.
Busquets asked to be substituted after an opponent stood on his toe an hour into Barca’s 3-0 win against Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Consequently, Mundo Deportivo reports the midfielder is awaiting tests to determine the severity of his problem, warning ‘it seems clear’ that he will not be able to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
The newspaper has also given the same prognosis regarding his participation in Spain’s friendlies against Germany and Argentina on March 23 and 27.
