Loren Moron reignites Betis Euro push

Loren Moron netted twice as Real Betis moved closer to a European spot with a 3-1 victory at Alaves on Monday night.

The striker now has five goals in six appearances since his promotion from the youth team while Javi Garcia also netted for the visitors and Ruben Sobrino netted for the Basque hosts.

Moron’s first goal had an element of controversy as Alaves players believed it was offside but were unaware the ball had initially ricocheted off a home player.

Betis deservedly doubled their lead just before the break as Gracia blasted home following a corner, before Sobrino halved the deficit in the second half with a cool finish.

However, despite strong pressing from the home side it was Betis and Moron who had the final say with a precise finish with 12 minutes remaining.
