Diego Simeone has confirmed that Jan Oblak will face Celta Vigo, despite reports that the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper picked up an injury.
Oblak had suffered a groin injury and needed tests to determine the extent of his setback, but Simeone insisted the Slovenian had made a rapid recovery and would keep goal on Sunday.
“He’ll be available,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“I’m not a doctor, but from what I’ve been told, he’s in good condition. He had a problem in his hand and another in his gluteus, but they’re both fine.
“He trained with Pablo [Vercellone, goalkeeping coach] on Saturday morning so he could gain confidence and feel capable of playing, which he will.”
