Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez’s agent has confirmed the striker will join Italian club Inter despite interest from both Madrid clubs.
The Racing Club striker and Argentina Under-20 international had previously been strongly linked to both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
In December there were widespread reports the 20-year-old had agreed to join Atletico in the summer of 2018, which had appeared to be confirmed by his agent.
However, agent Rolando Zarate has now confirmed to TyC Sports: “Martinez will go to Inter for a total of 30 million dollars [€24m].”
“I’ve always talked to the Nerazzurri about him going in June, they’ll never agree to leave him in Argentina until December.”
Martinez was also said to have attracted strong interest from Borussia Dortmund and Monaco but signed a new deal with the Argentine outfit last year.
