Casillas: My last Champions League night…

Iker Casillas has hinted he may not feature again in the Champions League after Tuesday night’s goalless draw at Liverpool.

The 36-year-old has won three Champions League titles in his career – all at Real Madrid – and looks set to leave the Portuguese giants in summer.

“My final Champions League night? If it was my goodbye to the competition, then it was not a bad way to bow out as I kept a clean sheet,” Casillas told Onda Cero.

“For me I can not think about the competition any longer, as for Porto we are into the home stretch of the season and our priority is now regaining our league title.

“Real Madrid? I would like to congratulate them and a fantastic victory over Paris Saint-Germain, I want them to go all the way again.

“I want to take the opportunity to thank the Liverpool fans for the respect they showed towards me…to be applauded in a stadium like that as an opposition player is special.”
