Emery confident in PSG comeback

Paris Saint-Germain Coach Unai Emery is confident his side can produce a comeback to eliminate Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Emery’s side trail 3-1 from the first leg of the last 16 tie and were the victims of Barcelona’s ‘remontada’ at the Camp Nou last season, when the Parisians lost 6-1.

“This is a huge match for us in every aspect as the Champions League is crucial in our objectives but also as a marker for future big games,” Emery told his pre-match press conference.

“This is a massive moment for the club and for all of France, we know we are capable of winning against the best teams in the world.

“We can beat the best version of Real Madrid and I want their players to all be fit and ready to play, although it is not a priority for me who they play.

“We are focused on performing to a high level of 90 minutes and for us to give our best version to beat the best of Madrid’s.

“Everyone is available apart from Neymar…Marquinhos, Verratti, Mbappe and Cavani all trained well on Monday, only Pastore did not but we are hopeful he will be ok.”
