Ramos demands ‘sincerity & identity’

Sergio Ramos is demanding “sincerity and identity” from his Real Madrid teammates when they travel to Paris Saint-Germain next week.

Madrid put in the perfect dress rehearsal for Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg, beating Getafe 3-1 in their Liga match before.

“Every match is difficult,” the defender told Movistar Partidazo after the game on Saturday.

“We played in front of our fans and this is supposed to make things easier, but it’s not the case.

“We did things well, although we played against 10 and this allowed us to control the game. Still, we’ve bounced back with a win, which is important.

“PSG? We already know how important the Champions League is for Real Madrid. We have to go to Paris with the sincerity and identity that we showed in the first leg.

“We know it’ll be very complicated, but our objective is clear. We’re expecting to face a great team, so we need maximum focus.

“They have forwards who can unbalance things, although we also have our own, who can do damage.

“Marcelo? He came on to get some rhythm back. He’s the type of player who can make the difference.

“The sooner he’s back to his best, the better we’ll be. We’ve had injuries to some important players

“Barca-Atleti? I’ll watch it because I like football. For us, the best result would be a draw.”

Los Blancos lead PSG 3-1 from the first leg – and Football Espana will be LIVE at Parc des Princes for the match!
