Preview: Leganes-Malaga

Two of La Liga’s most off-colour sides take to Butarque on Saturday, with Leganes losing four on the trot and Malaga still rock bottom.

Leganes boss Asier Garitano on the positives from his side’s run of defeats: “We’re in a privileged position.

“In terms of where we finish, the only thing that matters is that we stay up. Everything will depend on what we do at home.

“It hasn’t been easy to play so many games. It’s shown, but at the same time it’s improved us.

“I’m happy with how things are going. We must appreciate what we have at our disposal.”

Malaga boss Jose Gonzalez on why his side still have hope: ”What’s clear is that our rivals aren’t making it very difficult either.

“Only Las Palmas were able to pick up a point, while Deportivo and Levante lost, so we’re still seven points adrift.

“It seems like they want us to save ourselves because in other circumstances, it would be very difficult.”
