Getafe defender Juan Cala has travelled to China to sign a deal with Henan Jianye until the end of the campaign, according to reports in the Spanish press.
The 28-year-old has also enjoyed stints in Greece, Russia and England throughout his career but has been a central part of Los Azulones defence this season – starting 20 La Liga outings.
Cala’s nomadic career began at Sevilla and has also included loan spells at Cartagena and Granada, before joining the Madrid-based club in the summer of 2016.
The defender’s contract at Getafe was set to expire in the summer and despite talks of a permanent departure for €1.5m, a loan agreement is now reported to be the likely outcome.
