Courtois describes ‘quiet night’

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois described the Champions League clash against Barcelona as a ‘quiet night’ for him.

The Belgian international – who formerly played for Real Madrid – could not stop Lionel Messi’s equalising away goal in a night of few chances, but where Willian also scored for the hosts and hit the post twice.

“Barcelona did not create any danger against us, in fact the opposite is true and the most dangerous chances were created by us,” Courtois told Cadena Cope after the match.

“I did not have a lot of work to do…there was a shot from Luis Suarez, I had to claim a few corners but there was nothing else, it was a quiet night for me.”

The second leg will be played at Camp Nou on 14 March.
