Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has expressed his disappointment at his reception from Real Betis fans on Sunday.
The 21-year-old left Los Verdiblancos this summer to join Madrid but his name was loudly whistled when it was read out during Sunday’s clash, with the midfielder booed after celebrating the visitor’s third goal on the bench.
“The truth is I expected a better reception,” Ceballos is quoted as saying by Sevilla Info.
“It is always fantastic to return to Seville and this stadium, but this is not what I wanted.”
Ceballos was an unused substitute during the match and has been linked with a future loan move back to the Seville-based club.
