Unzue hails Celta positivity

Celta Vigo Coach Juan Carlos Unzue has hailed the optimism of his players for talking of a Champions League place.

Defender Facundo Roncaglia told reporters the team wanted to finish in La Liga’s top four, despite currently sitting 10th and being 13 points off the top four.

“I love the optimism of my players, because it shows we have ambition and drive,” Unzue told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“However, realistically we know there are a number of teams and points between us and the top four, so whilst we want to win every game – there is a lot of work to do for any position.

“The match against Getafe will be complicated as they are really well organised defensively and can do a lot of damage when they win the ball back, we must be at our best to beat them!

“Iago Aspas future? You can never be 100% on a player’s future until the Chinese market closes, but we want him to continue in Vigo for many more years.”

Celta take on Getafe in Monday night’s league action.
