Real Madrid have drawn up a list of three candidates to replace Zinedine Zidane as Coach this year, according to reports in the Spanish press.
A report in Diario AS states that the Frenchman may leave his position voluntarily at the end of the campaign in light of recent comments of how ‘tiring’ he was finding the role.
The reports states Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Germany national team boss Joachim Low are among the favourites to replace Zidane.
Pochettino is reportedly ‘the favourite’ due to his extensive knowledge of La Liga – having previously coached Espanyol – and the development of Spurs under his guidance.
The Argentine is under contract at White Hart Lane until 2021 but Madrid have previously signed Luka Modric and Gareth Bale from Spurs, with a working relationship between the clubs.
