Eibar Coach Jose Mendilibar believes his side are in their ‘best form of the season’ as they prepare to host Barcelona.
The Basque side are confounding their critics again this season and sit in seventh place in the La Liga table.
They are unbeaten in their last four La Liga matches and registered an impressive 5-1 win over Champions League hopefuls Sevilla in their last game at their Ipurua home.
“Our feelings are good and it is true that we are in our best period in terms of form and results,” Mendilibar, whose side have lost only one of their last 11 League matches, said at his pre-match Press conference.
“Even so, we know who we have in front of us. Even if we do things very well, we will depend on what they do as well.”
Despite their excellent form and chances of qualifying for the Europa League, the Ipurua Coach is aware of the size of the task facing his team.
“They [Barcelona] are very good - one of the best teams, with great footballers and a great Coach.
“If they have a good day it will be difficult for us to do anything.
“We will try to play how we play normally. From there, we will see.”
