Wanda sell shares in Atleti

Chinese company Dalian Wanda Group have sold all of their 17% shares in Atletico Madrid Idan Ofer's Quantum Pacific Group.

Israeli businessman Ofer now owns a total of 32% in Los Rojiblancos, although president Enrique Cerezo and Miguel Angel Gil Marin remain as majority shareholders.

Wanda’s decision to sell up will not change the name of Atleti’s newly built stadium, which will still be named the Wanda Metropolitano.

A report in El Mundo details the share switch, with the transaction expected to be approved by Spain's Sports Council imminently.
