Zizou not interested in future talk

Zinedine Zidane has brushed off speculation on his own future ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Frenchman is thought to be under growing scrutiny at the Bernabeu despite winning eight trophies – including back-to-back Champions League titles – in just over two years.

“My only thoughts are on tomorrow’s match, not my own future,” Zidane told reporters on Tuesday.

“Some issues are totally out of my control and my only thoughts are on the game, preparing for it both tactically and making sure the player’s approach is right, which I’m sure it will be.

“It is fantastic to be a part of such important matches, there is pressure which comes with it but that is normal and I enjoy the pressure, as do my players.

“This is not a final for me, my only thoughts are on the team playing well because if we do that then we have a big chance.

“Will the BBC play? You will know tomorrow how we will start the match, but right now I will not tell you about the system and shape of our team.

“Guti a future Madrid Coach? Yes, he is definitely capable of doing it someday – he has spent most of his life here so that is natural.”
