Mina: Barca debut ‘indescribable’

Yerry Mina admits playing for Barcelona gives him “indescribable happiness” after making his full debut on Sunday against Getafe.

Mina completed the goalless draw with Getafe, partnering Lucas Digne in a makeshift centre-back partnership, and while the Colombian confessed to an early case of ‘nerves’, he vowed to improve quickly.

“Being at this club gives me indescribable happiness,” the Colombian said after the game.

“The group have welcomed me well, and on the pitch I always had many options to pass.

“Step by step, I’ll correct those little mistakes and be able to keep doing what I like most, which is playing football.

“I felt nervous at times, but as the game progressed, those nerves went and I got calmer. I'm very happy with the fans. It was a debut like I imagined.”
