Grizi dedicates goal to teen tragedy

Antoine Griezmann dedicated his winner in Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Malaga to teenager Nacho Barbera, who died while playing football last week.

Barbera tragically fell to his death during a match for the Under-16 team of Valencian outfit Alzira last Sunday, prompting Griezmann to celebrate his 39rd-second finish by holding up a shirt with ‘Cholito’ and his No 7 on the back.

“It was important to win, we knew it was going to be complicated,” the attacker told BeIN Sports.

“These are the games that we like to have and play. It was a match for Cholito because his death is huge sadness.

“Now we have to keep fighting and try to win all the games we have left. After that, we’ll see.

"Defence? If I can’t help in attack, I’ll try to do so in defence and vice versa. I’m feeling good physically and hopefully I can keep going like this.

“Barca-Getafe? I’ll be with my girl, enjoying my time with her. We have a match on Thursday, so we’ll rest and prepare for it.”
