Las Palmas Coach Paco Jemez has urged his side to play to their own strengths ahead of Friday night’s clash with Athletic Bilbao.
Los Amarillos have been given hope in their battle against relegation after a 1-0 triumph over fellow strugglers Malaga last week and now have the chance to build momentum.
“I have a lot of respect for Athletic,” Jemez told reporters ahead of the clash at San Mames.
“They are a very strong side with lots of quality players, a budget which is much bigger than ours and with a lot of clout, this will be tough for us.
“They always play with lots of intensity and lots of personality so we must know how to combat this.
“We must play to our strengths and not try to take on Athletic at their own game – they are physically stronger than us, for instance.”
