Lucho to Chelsea this summer?

Chelsea have a deal in place to replace boss Antonio Conte with former Barcelona Coach Luis Enrique but must wait until the summer, say reports.

Enrique, who has also previously managed Celta Vigo and Roma, is said to be the London club’s desired managerial replacement for the under-pressure Italian.

Diario Sport report an agreement is in place between the two, but Enrique does not wish to take on the project until the end of the current campaign.

Conte’s contract at Stamford Bridge does not expire until June 2019 but there are fears he will be dismissed early in the wake of the club’s back-to-back heavy defeats to Bournemouth and Watford.

Last week, the London Evening Standard also reported the 47-year-old Enrique – who is currently a free agent – will replace him while several British reports have subsequently backed this up.

There has also been talk that former Barca and Chelsea full-back Juliano Belletti would be instilled as sporting director at the English champions.

Enrique was linked to the vacant Sevilla managerial job last month but he reportedly told the Andalucian club he did not wish to take any job in the middle of the season, which would be consistent with his stance on his move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will play the Blaugrana in the Champions League last 16, but it is unlikely Enrique will be in the dugout against his former employers.
