Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has warned Real Madrid that he “can’t wait” to face them in the Champions League last 16.
PSG’s run of 12 wins in 13 games comes in stark contrast to Madrid’s form, which sees them 19 points behind the Barcelona in La Liga and out of the Copa del Rey.
“I can’t wait to play Madrid,” said the ex-Blaugrana forward after his side’s 3-0 win against Lille.
“We all prepare to play in matches like these. I’m very excited and I want that day to be now.”
The Brazilian has scored 27 goals in just 26 appearances for PSG since his €222m transfer from Barca last summer.
As for the tie, the first leg will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu on February 14, prior to the return fixture in the French capital a week later.
