Vidal to stay at Barca – report

Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal looks set to stay at the club this January and will not be granted his move until the summer, say reports in Spain.

Cadena Cope journalist Helenda Condis Edo claims the 28-year-old, who has been linked to Sevilla and Roma among others, will remain at the Camp Nou for the remainder of the season.

Vidal initially joined the Blaugrana from the Andalucian club in the summer of 2015 for a €28m which included add-ons.

However, Vidal has failed to make an impact, starting only 14 La Liga games and has played second fiddle to Dani Alves, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo.

Gerard Deulofeu, Arda Turan and Rafinha Alcantara have all left Barca this January with these exits perhaps paving a way for the full-back’s stay.
