Ostersunds have confirmed they have received a €5m offer from Celta Vigo for Saman Ghoddos but the offer is insufficient.
The Iranian forward first joined the club in 2016 having spent the entirety of his professional career in Sweden and has been capped by both nations.
The 24-year-old has starred in the Swedish club’s run to the last 32 of the Europa League, netting five times in 11 appearances in the competition – including both games against Ukrainian side Zorya.
Swedish outlet Allsvenskan reports Ostersunds chairman Daniel Kindberg as saying: “It’s not enough for us, especially with our participation in the Europa League.
“No, there is no exact price tag on him. We have said that if we get a giant bid then we need to consider it over the responsibility of the player and the club position.”
