Leganes miss out on Musonda

Chelsea winger Charly Musonda has agreed to join Glasgow Celtic on an 18-month loan deal, meaning Leganes miss out, according to reports.

The Belgian’s first taste of professional first-team football came in La Liga with Real Betis, whom he joined on two separate loan deal from the English club.

The Brussels-native made 24 appearances for Los Verdiblancos in 2016 but fell out of favour with former Coach Gus Poyet, and picked up injury problems.

The 21-year-old has made three league appearances for the English champions this season but does not appear to be likely to force his way into the first-team at Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

He will now join the Scottish league leaders on a loan deal until the end of the 2018/19 campaign, with Leganes – who according to Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur – offered to pay a percentage of his wages.
