Real Betis are keen to sign out-of-favour Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra this month although a deal may be difficult, say reports in Spain.

The 27-year-old has made a total of 51 appearances for the German giants since joining from Barcelona in the summer of 2016.

However, the German giants signed Manuel Akanji from FC Basel this month and Bild now reports Los Verdiblancos have registered an interest in the former Blaugrana player.

ABC de Sevilla confirm the Seville-based club’s interest in that he fits the profile of player they wish to sign, yet his potential transfer fee (in excess of €10m) alongside interest from others may make a deal difficult.

Bartra suffered an arm injury in last year’s bomb attack on the Borussia Dortmund team bus before a Champions League tie with Monaco.
