Joao Cancelo looks set to stay at Inter until the end of the season after Valencia Coach Marcelino stated there was ‘no chance’ of an early end to his loan.
The 23-year-old joined the Nerazzurri on a season-long loan deal from Los Che at the start of the season but has started only four Serie A matches this campaign.
“If the Inter Coach [Luciano Spalletti] has said he stays, we can rule out his presence here in Valencia,” Marcelino told a press conference.
“There is no chance he could play with us.”
Cancelo’s deal at with the Milanese giants is directly linked to Geoffrey Kondogbia’s loan spell at the Mestalla but the chances of an early return now look remote.
