Real Sociedad’s alarming run of form continued as they slumped to a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo, courtesy of Maxi Gomez’s late winner.
The Uruguayan headed home late on for the Galician outfit to leave Eusebio Sacristan’s side with only three victories in their last 17 League outings.
The hosts took a 10th-minute lead when striker Willian Jose headed home Xabi Prieto's cross, although the visitors were soon back on level terms thanks to Iago Aspas' penalty after Juanmi had been adjudged to have handled inside the area.
The home side had a chance to get back on top when they too were awarded a penalty for midfielder Stanislav Lobotka's challenge on Sergio Canales, but Willian Jose rattled the bar from the spot.
Celta went on to take full advantage 15 minutes from time, frontman Maxi having snatched the victory with a header from Daniel Wass' cross.
