Villarreal boss Javier Calleja insists his side have set the bar to the ‘maximum’ level after they defeated Levante 2-1 on Saturday.
A Manu Trigueros penalty and second-half finish from Denis Cheryshev fired Villarreal to a fourth League win in five as the Yellow Submarine leapfrogged Real Madrid into a Champions League place.
“We’re going to fight to be as high as possible,” he said after the game.
“Right now, we’re fourth and Madrid are dropping points. We’re ambitious.
“We’ll focus on the League, and our aspirations are the maximum.”
