Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos may be heading for Italy this month with two Serie A clubs reported to be interested in his signature.

According to Sky Sport Italia, both Genoa and Sassuolo are eager to land the 22-year-old, who joined Los Amarillos two years ago.

The Uruguayan international has made 52 appearances for the Gran Canaria club having initially joined from Rubin Kazan for a fee of €2m.

Lemos had been widely lauded for his performances in a struggling side this season and had previously been linked with moves to both Barcelona and Everton.
