Setien’s ‘full focus on Leganes’

Real Betis Coach Quique Setien has dismissed reports his side may not be fully focused on Monday night’s clash with Leganes.

Los Verdiblancos celebrated extensively after last week’s Seville derby victory over Sevilla but they have insisted they are ‘fully focused’ on the clash with Lega.

“For me and the players, everyone is totally focused on the match with Leganes,” Setien told reporters, as cited by Estadio Deportivo.

“What happened against Sevilla was very good, it was an important three points against a tough rival in a match with particular significance in a football city like this.

“However, Leganes represent a very difficult challenge and we must be totally focused in order to obtain our objectives and continue to work hard.

“If we do not win, it will be blamed on excessive euphoria but intensity or concentration will not be a problem for us, as our preparation has been rigorous.

“Leganes are a team who will be very difficult to break down and are extremely well organised.

“We are all professionals and recognise this is another chance for a key three points and we must be fully concentrated to continue our momentum.”
