Sevilla are now considered favourites in the race to land out-of-favour Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal, initially on a loan deal, say reports in Spain.
The 28-year-old is in high demand and is reportedly on a list of players who the Catalan giants are keen to shift on this window in an attempt to cut their wage bill.
Vidal moved to the Camp Nou from Los Rojiblancos in 2015 but has failed to make an impact, starting only 14 La Liga games and has played second fiddle to Dani Alves, Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo.
Roma, Inter and Valencia are all thought to have a longstanding interest in the former Almeria player but a return to Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan is most likely at this point, say Cadena Cope.
