Villarreal have agreed to sign Colombian forward Roger Martinez from Chinese side Jiangsu Suning for €15m.
Martinez scored 20 goals and assisted 10 in 42 appearances for Jiangsu, having arrived from Argentine side Racing Club in July 2016.
“Playing in Europe has always been Roger Martinez’s dream,” the Chinese Super League outfit said in a statement.
“The club respect and support the dreams of their players. We want Roger Martínez to be successful in La Liga.”
The 23-year-old had been heavily linked with Inter, given they are also owned by Suning Group, while he has one goal in seven caps for Colombia.
He will replace Cedric Bakambu, who is set to travel in the opposite direction, joining Beijing Guoan for €40m.
