Preview: Atleti-Getafe

A mini-Madrid derby sees Atletico itching to bounce back against Getafe, who comfortably find themselves mid-table in La Liga.

Atleti boss Diego Simeone on what Diego Costa offers his side: “We’ve known him for a long time, we know how he plays and he always does so the edge.

“He shows bravery and passion for every ball, and he can still improve. He’s at an important age and at an important point in his career.

“I hope he keeps growing, as well as his teammates.”

Getafe boss Jose Bordalas on Atleti’s new signings and Mathieu Flamini: “It’s clear that [Costa and Vitolo] are great players.

“Natrually, they’ll give them an extra boost. They’re a better team without a doubt.

“Flamini? We reached an agreement with him and he was supposed to arrive two days ago.

“The club are working on other options, but we won’t rule out the possibility of bringing him in.”
