Atleti to sell Carrasco – report

Atletico Madrid will look to sell Belgian forward Yannick Carrasco in January after his sale was given the green light by Diego Simeone, say reports.

Spain international winger Vitolo will become available for selection for Los Rojiblancos next month and looks set to directly replace the Belgian in the squad.

A report in Diario AS states the 24-year-old will be allowed to leave Atleti in the New Year with Bayern Munich and clubs from England interested in his signature.

Luciano Vietto and Nicolas Gaitan are two other players set for imminent departures, but defender Sime Vrsaljko now looks set to stay for at least the remainder of the season.

Carrasco joined the club from Monaco in 2015 and has scored 22 times in his spell, including in the 2016 Champions League final.

However, he has started only five league games this season as he has struggled to break into the first-team.
