Valencia refute Guedes deal reports

Valencia are said to have denied reports suggesting they had agreed a €35m permanent deal to sign Goncalo Guedes from Paris Saint-Germain.

A report in L’Equipe, as cited by El Mundo, stated the Parisian club were willing to part with the Portuguese winger in order to comply with UEFA Financial Fair Play rules.

However, Diario AS report ‘club sources’ at the Mestalla as rejecting these reports and that whilst the club wants a permanent deal, it would be based on financial projections on the club qualifying for the Champions League.

The Portuguese winger has been in sensational form since moving to the Mestalla in a season-long loan deal this summer, having only joined the Parisians from Benfica in January.

The 21-year-old has previously expressed his openness to joining Los Che on a permanent basis.
