Barcelona have refused to deny reports that they met Antoine Griezmann’s family with a view to signing the Atletico Madrid star.
Mundo Deportivo reported on Saturday morning that Barca President had already spoken to Griezmann’s parents ahead of a possible transfer next summer, and Guillermo Amor admitted “it may be the case.”
“If this newspaper says so, it may be the case,” the Catalans’ head of sporting and institutional relations said after their 4-0 win against Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.
“It may be that there’s been an approach, that there’s good harmony, a good relationship, conversations… It’s inevitable in the world of football.
“As in the case of Griezmann, there are many players that you can talk to and enter some kind of relationship with, in the event an opportunity arises.
“The club usually carry out this kind of work.”
