N’Zonzi heading to Arsenal?

Arsenal are willing to trigger Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi’s €40m release clause in January as his exit from La Liga edges closer.

Marca cite a report in the Daily Mail that the Gunners are prepared to pay €37m upfront alongside a further €3m in bonuses to trigger N’Zonzi’s exit from the Andalucians.

The French midfielder reportedly stormed out of the stadium after being substituted off at half time during last week’s Champions League draw with Liverpool.

The Andalucians were trailing 3-0 at half time but completed a rousing second half comeback to draw the match 3-3 but the former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder had already left the ground, report Diario AS.

The 28-year-old has since been banished from training with the first-team squad and he played no part in the recent matches against Villarreal, Deportivo La Coruna, Maribor and Real Madrid.

N’Zonzi is said to have been frustrated with the club’s reluctance to sell him over the summer transfer window.
