Zidane: Madrid prepared for CWC

Zinedine Zidane insists Real Madrid have fully prepared for their Club World Cup clash with Al Jazira on Wednesday evening.

The Spanish and European champions take on the UAE-based club in Abu Dhabi with a spot in Sunday’s final up for grabs.

“There is less time difference this year and that should benefit us,” Zidane told his pre-match press conference.

“It’s important to prepare in these conditions and against sides whom we have not faced previously, and we have done that thoroughly.

“We have trained here for two days here, to adapt, and have studied the opposition team, players and style.

“This will not be an easy game and we are focused solely on winning and progressing to the final.”

The Frenchman went on to discuss the importance of avoiding red cards, with suspensions then transferred into La Liga clashes.

“This is something we must keep in mind,” Zidane added.

“I do not understand why these will have an impact on the league but they will and we must aim for all players to be available against Barcelona.”
