Kondogbia: Happy at Valencia, but…

Geoffrey Kondogbia has reiterated his ‘happiness’ at Valencia but is refusing to look beyond this season. “We’ll see what happens later.”

Kondogbia helped Valencia bounce back from their first defeat of the season as they beat Celta Vigo 2-1 on Saturday, in what was another likely step towards Los Che activating their €25m purchase option for the Inter-owned midfielder.

“In football, you never know,” he said after the game.

“I’m fine and comfortable here. The Coach and teammates are helping me. I’m happy but I have to focus on my work in order to do my best for Valencia. We’ll see what happens later.

“Not looking up the table? For now, I think so. There are two teams that are better than us, and we must be humble.

“However, we’re feeling confident and we want to win games. We have ambition, but we’re also humble.”
