Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone believes his side can only worry about their game at Chelsea and not think about Roma’s clash with Qarabag.
Los Rojiblancos need to win in London and hope the Azerbaijani side obtain a positive result in Rome to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.
“We should only be thinking about ourselves and our situation,” Simeone told a press conference.
“I do not think we should be worrying about what is happening in Rome as we are playing a fantastic team and must give everything to that match.
“Chelsea are top of the group and they deserve to be in that position, so we must give our all if we are to gain a positive result.
“We need to take the game to them as we believe that is our best possible chance of hurting them and winning the match.
“This competition has meant a lot to us over the past few years and now we must fight to continue that tradition.”
