Atleti ‘losing patience’ with Griezi?

Officials at Atletico Madrid are growing ‘increasingly frustrated’ at the performances of Atletico Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

The 26-year-old signed a new deal at Los Rojiblancos this summer with a significant salary increase this summer while raising his release clause temporarily from €100m to €200m.

However, the French forward’s clause will reduce again in the next transfer window and is said to be attracting interest from Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Diario AS reports senior officials at Atleti are exasperated with the forward’s performance levels this season with only two goals in nine La Liga outings.

Diego Costa will be arriving in January, alongside winger Vitolo, which is likely to increase attacking options and therefore any perceived reliance on the Real Sociedad star.

However, it is unlikely the player will move before the end of the season although the report suggests that due to the club’s finances they are likely to be open to a later sale.
