Official: Unal joins Levante on loan

Levante have reached an agreement to sign Villarreal striker Enes Unal on loan until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.

Enes only put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Villarreal in July after joining the Yellow Submarine in a reported €14m deal from Manchester City.

However, the 20-year-old has started only two of the club’s 10 League outings to date – scoring once – and has now joined newly-promoted Levante, who are short of striking options due to injuries.

Forward Roger Marti has been sidelined with a long-term injury problem while injuries elsewhere have ensured the club have been granted an emergency loan deal.

Villarreal can recall the Turkish striker in January but the move is scheduled to run until June 2018.
