Hernandez: Barca goal absurd

Malaga defender Luis Hernandez has lamented the ‘absurd’ decision to give Barcelona’s first goal after the ball went out of play.

Hernandez, who signed from Leicester City earlier this year, admitted his side’s performances had not been good enough but they were suffering from officiating decisions.

“I understand they are now saying the ball didn’t go out, but this is absurd,” Hernandez is quoted as saying by Diario Sport.

“The ball was half a metre behind the line and once more we have suffered from a decision like this – in six of our nine games there has been a refereeing error for the first goal.

“I have always said the referee’s job is a difficult one but it is now weighing heavily against us, against Eibar it was offside and it was similar against Valencia and Girona.

“We are bottom and not playing well and won’t blame the officials for this, but we are being hurt a lot.”

Michel's side are bottom of La Liga with only one point from their opening nine fixtures after Saturday's 2-0 loss at the Camp Nou.
