Athletic struggle to late Sweden draw

A last minute strike from substitute Inaki Williams earned Athletic Bilbao a point at Ostersunds but leaves them in precarious position in Group J.

Jose Angel Ziganda’s side have only two points from their opening three Europa League group stage outings and sit four and five points behind Zorya and group leaders Ostersunds respectively.

Veteran striker Aritz Aduriz had given the Basque club the lead after Inigo Cordoba robbed the home side’s goalkeeper Aly Keita but second half strikes from Alhaji Gero and Curtis Edwards turned the game on its head.

Williams was one of a number of late substitutions to help change the game and he grabbed a point in the dying stages to rescue a point and keep Athletic’s European hopes alive.
