Preview: Betis-Valencia

Benito Villamarin plays host to a top-of-the-table clash as Valencia can leap into second place with victory over similarly in-form Real Betis.

Betis boss Quique Setien on the qualities of his side’s opponents: “We’ll pay dearly for any mistake we make because they have great players.

“They have a lot of defensive quality and also away from home. They have quick players that can make a difference on the counterattack.

“The vast majority of their players are at a very high level. I’m weighing up everything about how to replace Javi Garcia, from a like-for-like change to putting two players in his place.”

Valencia boss Marcelino on Dani Parejo’s yellow-card tightrope: “Parejo’s yellows are a result of how the campaign has panned out.

“I’m very satisfied with Parejo’s performance in all seven of our matches. Having four yellows to his name won’t affect how he plays.

“When he has five, he will miss a game and another player will fill in for him.”
