Sevilla and Atletico Madrid will go head-to-head for Corinthians full-back Guilherme Arana (pictured right) in the January transfer window, say reports.
The Andalucian club attempted to sign the 20-year-old in summer but were rejected in their advanced b the Brazilian club.
Now, with the Brazilian Championship concluding in December, Corinthians are more open to a deal and this has alerted the two Spanish giants, according to Brailian media outlet UOL Esporte.
The Under-20 international has made 37 league appearances for the Sao Paulo based club this season and could be available for between €12m and €15m.
“When I finish the Championship, God willing as champions, I will stop to think the best for me,” Arana is quoted as saying by the report.
Ultimately, Sevilla signed Galatasaray left-back Lionel Carole on a season-long loan deal while Atleti will be able to sign players once again in January after an 18-month player registration ban.
